Joe Diffie leaves behind country for bluegrass and a new label. “Homecoming” was co-produced by Diffie and Luke Wooten and features The Grascals, Rhonda Vincent, Bradley Walker and Alecia Nugent. Diffie also enlisted Rob Ickes, Aubrey Haynie, Mike Compton, Bryan Sutton, Mark Fain and Charlie Cushman.

Sugarland – The Incredible Machine (Mercury Nashville)
Sugarland will release their fourth studio album, which Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush co-wrote. They also produced the disc with Byron Gallimore, best known for his work with Tim McGraw. Stuck Like Glue is the first single.

Carrie Rodriguez and Chip Taylor team up again for 18 songs. Most of these are a retrospective, but four are new songs recorded earlier this year with John Platania (Van Morrison) and pedal steel player Greg Leisz (Joni Mitchell, Robert Plant and Alison Kraus).

The Avett Brothers recorded a concert at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, N.C. on Aug. 8, 2009, and the result is this CD/DVD. The DVD was shot in HD and mixed by Ryan Hewitt, the engineer/mixer of “I and Love and You.” The DVD will include documentary-style episodes, with interviews from the band and the fans who attended the show.
Raul Malo – Sinners & Saints (Concord)
Raul Malo returns with another solo album, this one recorded at his home studio. This is the follow-up to “Lucky One,” Malo’s Fantasy debut.
